Medically Tailored Meals are…

‘Medically appropriate meals delivered to the homes of individuals living with complex severe or chronic illness who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves’.  Food is Medicine Coalition, 2023.

We believe that providing meals designed for an individual’s medical condition can help improve health outcomes, quality of life and enhance food security.  Our program is being run on a not-for-profit basis and is supported by funders from throughout our region.

The project has been set up by the Meals to Heal Advisory Group – members include local community members with lived experience of illness and disability, seniors, dietitians, social workers, food producers and representatives of community organizations.

In April 2026 we became a federally incorporated not for profit and our organization is overseen by the Meals to Heal Board of Directors.
